Social Justice

The Social Justice Commission supports our parish values, mission and vision by responding to the call of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to promote the integration of Catholic Social Teaching into our faith and life as a parish.  The commission meets monthly on the second Tuesday from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the Activities Building. Our four key strategies we work with are:

  1. Communicate and increase awareness of the Key Principles of Catholic Social Teaching throughout the parish.
  2. Help shape just social structures that embrace human dignity in pursuit of the Common Good
  3. Lead efforts to address the needs of the poor and vulnerable in our community and society
  4. Support efforts to live our faith through caring for God’s creation

St Thomas Aquinas is committed to works of charity and justice as we seek to bring about the Reign of God in our time.
