About Goldie and Lorraine Buda.
Lawrence and Goldie Buda moved to St. Paul Park in 1951. Lawrence was a WWII vet and was active with the Veteran’s Club in St. Paul Park. He worked at Hamm’s Brewery Co. Lawrence and Goldie loved to fish. It was not unusual to see them at the early Mass before they went to the lake. They also enjoyed entertaining so there were always relatives at the house for a get-together and especially at holiday time. Their three daughters Lorraine, Diane and Corine all graduated from Park High School. In addition to their daughters, Lawrence and Goldie had seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lawrence died in 1966. Goldie then went to work at Deluxe Check. She also sponsored a seminary student who was ordained in 1971. Both Goldie & Lorraine were very loving and giving people. This scholarship fund was funded by an anonymous donor in honor of Goldie & Lorraine Buda. Funds are held in an endowment at Catholic Community Foundation. If you have any questions, please contact the Parish Center Office at 651-4590 2131.
